If you're doing telehealth (video) sessions with me, here's some extra info! I use a secure platform that works on smartphones or computers/laptops. The link to access my virtual waiting room is: https://doxy.me/megancallahan.
You must understand and agree to the points below before we begin work together:
-
For every telehealth session, you must be physically located in Minnesota or Iowa. This is due to licensure requirements and I am licensed in Minnesota and Iowa.
-
It is important to be in a quiet, private space that is free of distractions during each session.
-
Please use a secure Internet connection rather than public/free WiFi.
-
In the event of technical problems that disrupt the video session, I will attempt to make contact with you via email and/or phone to restart or reschedule the session. You will provide me with an email address and phone number during intake.
-
We agree to use the video platform doxy.me, which is HIPAA compliant, and I will answer any questions you have about how to use it.
-
There are possible benefits and risks to telehealth/video sessions that differ from in-person sessions.
-
Confidentiality still applies for telehealth/video sessions and neither you nor I will record sessions without permission from the other person.
-
You should confirm directly with your insurance company that you have coverage for telehealth/video sessions. If your insurance does not cover telehealth, you will be responsible for paying my regular fees.
